PrimaVista asks for no personal data: no name, no email, no account. It has no ads.
What the app gathers, and why
- Usage analytics. The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count how the app is used — for instance that it was opened, on what kind of device and in what country. This helps us decide what to improve. It is tied to an identifier of the installation, never to your name.
- Crash reports. If the app fails, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a technical report of the failure and the device model, so that we can fix it.
- Announcements. We can send announcements about the app (new scores, a new version) through Firebase Cloud Messaging. To deliver them, that service gives each installation an identifier and keeps the language of the app with it.
- Settings from the publisher. Firebase Remote Config lets us change settings of the app without a new version. It uses the same installation identifier.
These services are provided by Google, which processes the data on our behalf. Its policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Your choices
- Turn analytics and crash reports off. Open Settings in the app and set «Usage analytics» to Off. They are on by default; we rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working, and you can object at any time with that switch.
- Turn announcements off. Refuse the notification permission, or turn the app's notifications off in your phone's settings. The app works the same.
- Remove everything. Uninstalling the app ends all of it. We keep nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing else to delete.
What never leaves your phone
- Your piano. When a piano or MIDI keyboard is connected by USB, the app reads the keys you press in order to check them against the score. That is used at that moment only: it is not stored and not sent anywhere. The app sends nothing to the instrument.
- Your settings. The language, the colours, the way notes are named and the last score you opened are stored on your phone only.
Children
The app treats every user the same, whatever their age, and asks for no personal data from anyone.
